Yes - trusts can create policies that are shared across all schools within the trust. This helps ensure consistency and reduces the need for each school to create the same policy individually.
Navigate to the Policies Screen
Click the Add Policy button
Create the policy as usual (enter title, content, workflow, etc.)
In the details tab, ensure 'Allow Schools within my trust to use this policy?'.
Click Save.
Shared policies will appear in each school’s policy list
Schools can view these policies alongside their own local ones
Trusts remain the owner of the shared policy, and updates made by the trust will be reflected in all schools
Use shared policies for trust-wide rules and standards (e.g., safeguarding, HR, data protection).
Allow schools to create their own local policies for site-specific procedures.
