A Derbyshire-based multi-academy trust is strengthening how it tracks and demonstrates its impact, as schools across England respond to increasing accountability requirements and a shifting education landscape.
Esteem Multi-Academy Trust, which supports children and young people with a range of needs, has implemented a more structured approach to aligning its strategic priorities with measurable outcomes across its schools.
The move comes as education leaders navigate proposed changes to the Ofsted framework and wider reforms outlined in the government’s Education White Paper – placing greater emphasis on evidencing progress and impact.
Karen Hayes, CEO of Esteem Multi-Academy Trust, said: “At Esteem Multi-Academy Trust, we have developed a clear and ambitious business strategy focused on delivering measurable impact across our organisation.
“We are committed to ensuring this strategy drives tangible progress for our staff and the children and young people we serve.”
To support this approach, the trust is using SchooliP, a platform developed by Derventio Education, which enables leaders to track, evaluate and strengthen improvement activity across multiple settings.
Mrs Hayes added: “SchooliP provides us with a structured platform to track, evaluate and strengthen our work. It enables us to align activity to our strategic priorities and ensure our efforts are both purposeful and impactful across all areas of the trust.
“As the education landscape continues to evolve, it is increasingly important that we can evidence the difference we are making. SchooliP supports us to capture this effectively, giving us confidence that our work is coherent, transparent and making a meaningful difference both in and beyond the classroom.”
The approach reflects a wider shift across the sector, as trusts seek greater clarity, consistency and accountability in how they plan, monitor and evidence school improvement.
Stuart Reece, CEO of Derventio Education, added: “As expectations on schools continue to evolve, the ability to clearly evidence impact is becoming increasingly important – not just for accountability, but for driving meaningful improvement.
“We’re seeing more trusts take a strategic approach to aligning priorities with measurable outcomes, ensuring that the work happening across their schools is both visible and effective.
“Ultimately, it’s about giving education leaders the confidence that their efforts are making a real difference – for their staff, their pupils and their wider communities.”
